Happy 2014! We hope you all had a happy holiday to spite the ice storm that hit. Our home was without power for 5 days, although we had a happy holiday nonetheless.

Lawrence Heights hit hard by the storm

Lawrence Heights was one of the areas that were hit the worst by the December ice storm, with many Lawrence Park homes out of power for 5 days. Many were forced to flea there homes during this time. You can read ice storm stories from local Lawrence Park residents here. 






Colle aims to succeed Stintz at helm of TTC

image-2When Councillor Karen Stintz steps down as chair of the TTC in February to focus on her run for mayor, her Eglinton-Lawrence counterpart Josh Colle from ward 15 is hoping to succeed her.

This same position was held by his father Mike Colle 20 years ago. Mike Colle is now MPP for Eglinton-Lawrence.
