HISTORY OF DOWNTOWN WEST
Downtown westThe west side of Toronto was originally an industrial centre. There had been a beginning of the future Entertainment mecca since the Royal Alexandra Theatre was in the District. In 1980, the west side was transformed into an entertainment neighbourhood with the addition of the Princess of Wales Theatre. The two threatres attacted a host of similar attractions and the natural additions of restaurants and hotels to house people who would attend the attractions soon made the west side of Toronto a bustling entertainment centre that is one of the world’s most renown centres for fun, relaxation, sporting and cultural stimulation. Among all the fun and excitement, the Downtown Toronto west real estate options are plentiful. With a large mix of townhomes and condos, there are also some family friendly tree lined streets that offer multi million dollar homes. Downtown Toronto west real estate is expensive than the outskirts of the Downtown core, but its a small price to pay for being located near all the excitement of the big city.
